"Royal Canadian" store brand?

While reading my copy of Brophy's book on Marlin, I noticed references to
"Royal Canadian" marked guns. Was this Sears-Simpson's store brand. Anybody have one?

As I understand, it's like a regular Marlin, but with a predilection for poultry.
