RPAL application exceeding 3 months

Here is my status and I got stuck at no where, anyone has experienced same situation?

Application sent and received on July 04.
All interviews done at beginning of the August no problem.
Wife recieved letter on Aug 23rd from BC CFO ask to call in if any concerns.(of course not)
no words and the status kept 'in progress' since then, called in a few times and was told it's waiting for BC CFO's approval. I also tried to call BC CFO directly but nobody ever picked up the phone call or called back.

is this normal?What could I do at this moment except just waiting? Could it be my application files are lost?

any inputs appreciated.

Mine's been at the CFO for a couple weeks now as well.

Hope the wife doesn't get a note like that.

Did you answer yes to any of the ...delicate questions on the app, if you don't mind me asking?

I recently emigrated to canada from the uk bringing 3 guns with me, once getting to canada i was issued a temporary firearms certificate that lasts 60 days so in my 1st week in canada i challenged the exam for restricted and non restricted firearms and sent in my application, after about 45 days i checked the status of my application on the RCMP web site and it said it was being processed. I had my temporary permit extended another 60 days once that time was up i called the CFO they told me for my application to be processed they required some more info which i gave them on the phone they immediately finished my application they told me they had just been really busy with the hunting season

So I think it is worth calling them again, they were very helpful and may speed up your application

just like my wifes. mine came within a couple weeks really quick i thought but hers took over 3 months so there is still hope.

Mine took from early June till first week of October! I finally started calling everyday and that hurried things along a bit.
