Just called Silverdale to register for the next weekend RPAL and they are full for next three months.

Anyone knows of another place that offers RPAL Kitchener - Oshawa.
Thnaks.

not in Oshawa or Kitchener, but somewhere in the airport area. Try contacting these guys: w_ww.can.canadianfirearmscourses.info/schedule11.htm

thanks a lot.
Left them a message but based on the answering system, they are booking for June courses :-(. I guess they are full as well.
Lets see if they call me with a good news :)

There is no need to take a course. Just download the CRFSC book, do 200 questions at gunexams.com (it will cost you $20 or so), then fire up YouTube and look for CRFSC videos. If after this preparation you don't get 90%+ on the exam, you should take up Airsoft instead.

Go to FAC Canada, just google it, they do the courses every month, one by the EX and one just on Wilson Ave.

Just looked there as well - they are booked till June.
I guess everyone is taking the course at the same time :)

of the free questions they offer very little where helpful in terms of related to the actual exam.

simply having a good interest in firearms, watching the youtube video's and going through the booklets the courses provide was enough for me to pass with 98% on all tests, accept for the non-restricted practical test which i got 88% on. i forgot to prove them safe when putting them back down.

I got 100/100 100/100 after doing what I suggested above. The gunexams.com questions (that you pay for) are very closely matched to what's on the exams. The point is that if you do not breathe through your mouth and nobody has to read this forum to you, there is no point in taking a course.

OK - now I am confused. By looking deeper I fould on one site that in order to upgrade to RPAL I would need to take both PAL and RPAL course and then go for RPAL exam only since my PAL was done more than 12 month ago (?)

Would anyone be able to tell me what I need to do in order to upgrate to RPAL from PAL.
Thanks.

It doesn't matter if you got your PAL the day before the exam, or in 1996. All you need to do to get a restricted endorsement on your PAL is write and pass the CRFSC written and practical exams. If you want, you can take a course to prepare for these tests. But you don't have to.

Thanks.... I guess then this instructor who responded to my course inquery might be wrong:

Pls visit our web site I REMOVED THE SITE for our course dates.

If you got your PAL within the last 12 months we might be able to put you in our April or May Restricted course. But if more then 12 months then you need to take both the NR and R course and then just the restricted test. But we can't take you until June the b/c our classes our full.

here it is, I booked last minute....

wentworth shooting sports in hamilton....contact Albert Loo Sum -hes the guy (and Jeff) running both courses and tests.

I was pretty happy with the class :)
