hey just wondering for the RPAL do they typically need to interview both references or is just one okay as my mom is one of my references and shes going to be out of town for a lil while , its going to be 28 days on tuesday since they recieved the application am I going to need to wait till she gets back for it to get approved???

They'll interview both. Goes without saying don't joke around, be serious and firm with NOs to all the are you psychotic/depressed/dangerous/... questions.

As said your references can call in. I called in before they contacted me to get my interview done, by the afternoon both my references were called.
 
well i already did my interveiw i called to ask if my picture was suitable and the lady asked me if i could do my interview now, worked out great although i did kinda laugh at the have u been bankrupt question as im only 20 lol

Heck... in Canada if you aren't bankrupt, you must be some kind of crook. Anyone who has enough money to pay their bills & debts these days must be dodging their moral obligations to give it all up to the government!!!

checked online today and Your application has been processed and your licence has been issued. Exactly 28 days from when they received application.
 
Congratulations - lots of fun coming up for you now. The SKS is a fun start and since you've got the restricted, you really should get a handgun of some kind.:)

I and both my references have the same first name. I never even thought of it until I had sent the application in, then my wife chuckled and asked if they might think that is a little strange. Luckily it seemed to be OK.
