So I renewed my RPAL this summer... What's a realistic timeframe? It's been 4 months since it was processed (when they took my money), and has been sitting at the BC CFO's office for approval for at least 3 months. My license has now expired, and I'm frustrated as hell. I don't have possession of any of my firearms, and it's driving me crazy.

Mailed in paperwork early May (my fault, forgot all about it). Processed early/mid June. License expired mid June. It's now early Oct, and my license is still waiting to be approved by the BC CFO.

Any idea as to when I'll get my license again?

Thanks. Phoned them... according to the lady I spoke to... while I had checked off target practice as my reason, I hadn't included a copy of my range membership (I don't recall the papers saying I had to - but I was in a hurry so it's possible I missed it). So because of that, they were waiting on that proof of membership. Now, because they were backlogged, they hadn't gotten around to mailing me something notifying me that my application was held up due to missing documentation.

While I'd phoned the CFP several times, all they would say is that it was backlogged in BC, and there was nothing they could do. I'd phoned the BC CFO's office once before, but was never given anything other than they were backlogged and there was nothing they could do. Not sure why it was different this time around?

Anyway should have my RPAL in a couple weeks now.
