For those who have done their RPAL in Ontario, what method does the CFO use to send your test results needed to submit your application?

I ask because the possibility of a postal strike might delay my results further than they already are. (5 weeks)

Courier or Canada Post?

I talked to someone at the Ontario CFO about this (long before the prospect of a postal strike)... I wanted to have them send the paperwork via certified mail, as mail service isn't reliable on my street... They said that they are only able to send it Canada Post, and can't do anything other than lettermail.

Well thanks for the info. It looks like this might be a gunless summer. At least I know what to expect.

I spoke to the FSESO folks who process the forms for the CFO a couple of days ago and they are looking at sending results via fax if there's a strike.

RCMP website posted the following 03 JUNE 2011:

CFP contingencies during a period of postal service uncertainty

Canadian Firearms Program

The Canadian Firearms Program is advising clients that there may be delays in the receipt and distribution of CFP mail as a result of the current postal situation in Canada. For urgent situations, such as the requirement of a firearms licence for employment purposes, CFP recommends that the clients courier applications (at the clients' expense) to: RCMP, 171 Duke Street, Miramichi, New Brunswick, E1N 1H9.
