RPAL wait time

I am just curious how long it has taken other people to get their RPAL once it hits the CFO stage? I sent in my application way back in Aug and there was a problem with a reference, so in Dec they sent me a new form for another reference. I got it filled out and sent back before xmas. I have phoned RCMP office twice since then and all they tell me it that it is still with the CFO. Would they have sent the forms to the office in Edmonton for review?
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Phone the AB CFO. Ask for a status update on your application. They will review it over the phone to verify all information is good, then approve it.

Thats how mine went, I was 30 mins on hold, 1 min to issue licence.

Good luck!

Thanks. I did phone them up today and got through right away. All the woman on the other end could tell me is that it is on his desk and they are going through it. I guess I just sit and wait now.

Really? Interesting. I talked to a lady there and she finished processing it on the phone. Oh well, Monday is another day. I was told Fridays they are half staffed? Not sure to believe this or not but after all it is government.

Update

I got a call from them yesterday asking how to contact my ex wife. I gave them the info and she called me while I was on the phone with the RCMP. Long story short, I got my licence approved and it is in the mail :D

Took me almost 60 days (submitted end of Nov so I had to deal with the Christmas downtime).

For references, if the reference is not home and their voicemail/answering machine does NOT identify the home owner by name (would assume a first name would suffice), the RCMP will not leave a voicemail for your reference to call back or the reason for the call (privacy rules I'm told). So be sure your references identify themselves on their voicemail/answering machines to avoid delays.

Cheers,
