RPR barrel? Enough meat to turn down into AI AT threads?

Okay you gunsmiths/experts.... got a real strange situation here.

I have an Accuracy International AT in .308 (shoots well , and life is good)....

I also have a spare-to-my-needs McGowan Match .260 barrel cut for an RPR (Ruger Precision Rifle) install.

I don't have any calipers to measure nor do I know of the size / threads of the Accuracy International action.

Can I make this work?

Cheers and thanks for your time and efforts!

If you don't mind spending the money it can always be made to work.

You didn't state exactly what you want to do. I am assuming replace the .308 barrel with the .260 barrel. If the .260 tenon is too small it can be bushed and threaded larger. This costs more to do than if it were a blank.

I appreciated the enlightenment. Yeah, that's what I wanted to do...make that McGowan barrel work on the AI AT. But (big BUT) it might be easier to order up a 6.5mm blank from Many , many vendors here in our great community and go from there. Much simpler , too.

I appreciate the advice!
