Just went out to the range with my new Norinco M4 and 10 round RRA magazines.
During test firing I discovered the following occured only with the first round when loaded fully to the 10 round limit.
1. Load magazine into rifle with bolt held open.
2. Release bolt - 1st round stripped off of magazine and chambered.
3. Fire gun.
4. First round comes 1/2 out of chamber where tension from the second round is high enough that the extractor can't hold onto the extracting cartridge.
5. Bolt disengages from extracting round and travels rearward where it begins forward motion.
6. Bolt strips off new round from top of magazine and tries to chamber a round.
7. Meets 1/2 chambered first round and promptly jams into the chamber's feed ramp.
Brand new magazine - only happens with first round.
Suspect I will be "relieving" some tension on the first round by judiciously removing material from the follower.
Anyone else experiencing this issue?
