Are you magazines reliable? Are you experiencing any malfunctions?

What ammo are you running. I tried IVI 9mm Nato (worked best) Federal 147 grain - not so good, Rem Hollowpoints no good as well.

Round goes up and jams above the chamber, some double feeds.

I don't own a 9MM AR, but I want one. Just curious, do they have M4 feed ramps, two larger ramps, single ramp?

Thanks

PS: sweet gun.

Mine is a complete RRA.

I've fired everything from lead to sjhp to fmj in 115/124/147.

Around the 1500 rd mark it starts to choke....cleaning fixes that.

Aside from being annoyingly way too long, the things function flawlessly with anything it's fed - from FMJ, CMJ, LSWC LRN.

Only other problem is still the uneducated "experts" wo give you a hard time and then don't listen when you tell them it's ok to use a 10rd PISTOL magazine in a rifle.

:ar15:

I also thinking the combination of 9mm buffer, heavy 9mm carrier, and 9mm buffer spring might be too stiff and causing the round to lift and jam.

I'm going to try car buffer next time.

The Hahn is the best block available.
First off it has nothing to do with your buffer weight and spring. I wouldn't run a standard weight car buffer in there. You need the mass since its blowback operated

I find the Promag mags ( the RRA 10rds ) are a bit finicky on the height of the mag block. I would try to pull the mag block as low as possible then retighten the set screw that pushes the roller out. It doesnt take much to make a difference

There are much better mags available ( CProducts ) but sadly are limited to 5 rds.

I run a RRA with a Hahn bottom load, and VM Hytec block with the Pro Mag and CP mags. I have put over 1000rds through it without a problem

BTW the "Colt system" which is what the RRA does not have a feed ramp in the barrel extention ( as shown in the pic above ) . The feed ramps are built into the mag block...which is why the mag block makes a big difference. That pic looks like a Oly Arms system
