thanks for your informative experience and feedback, ever since Ive been using the SSA ,and I am happy with it, you mentioned that there is no big difference between the RRA and the SSa, is it safe to say that the RRA NM trigger money wise is better? I dont want to spend $200 for the RRA/NM and just to find out I need the SSA. By the way it will not be for a long precision shooting, more of a CQB type, and once in while 200yrds shoots. thanks
The RRA NM only adds a little over $100 when you buy the LPK with it from Questars . I have used 3 RRA NM , 2 of which broke at the crisp 4.5sih that they should, one needed a bit of stoning to make it as crisp
If you like doing work on your trigger , which helps you get a much better understanding on the way the FCG works the NM is the way to go. If you install a JP "Yellow Spring"....about $10... you end up with a 3 to 3.5 lbs nice two stage !
There is a ton of information online on how to tweak a RRA NM two stage trigger
If you decide to go that route please note that the RRA NM trigger is very different from a std "mil spec" style trigger . The sear surface of the hammer is on the inverted T section, not the forward notch on std triggers. Once you trial assemble it you will know what I mean
Only negative I have "heard" is that it can fail and become a heavy single stage . I personally have never seen this
You can also tweak a SSA trigger's 1st stage by slightly bending trigger spring. 2nd stage you can't play with
I think they you will be happy with the RRA NM , especially if you are willing to spend time with it. I have a RRA NM ( with JP ) in one of my own SPR type builds. I have spare SSA in my tool box and I really couldn't be bothered swaping out because the RRA NM is just fine for this application
As I mentioned , my favorite is the Hi Speed and I have been playing with the S3G . I has a much shorter reset
