RS Products AK BM-2 light rail on a SKS!

They ship to Canada but at a price! $70US + shipping but it’s quality. Get the Yugo model one (0.66”), same diameter as the SKs pretty much.

Decided to put a decent and minimalist flashlight rail and chose this one. I knew it require some modification since the gas tube to barrel ratio is pretty tight compared to an AK. Bare in mind the grinding done is still in the raw and will be buffed and re-blued.

Tried many positions with a standard Surefire light and despite possibly in the way of my BFG AK sling it might be in the way but this a budget, sort of since I already had a spare flashlight and a 1” ring.

It also fits the gas tube, another option if I want it higher but lots of AK’s users go with the DD and ADM/Vltor scout offset styles $$.

Project rebuild MC-5D completed. Note that I’ve put the flashlight rig on the gas tube at a higher and more comfortable stance. I made sure the gas holes were free for exhaust.

Sling is a BFG AK sling in tan and work well. Pretty much my go to defense rifle set up for now.

I got the Vortex Venom 3MOA from CSC which is on sale right now and rail is Matador Arms.
