How???

it is pretty pasted onto my gun and i can't see how the for-end cap relates to the barrel and stock. the little screw seems prety insignificant for structural stuff.
it just wont budge and i am afraid of me and my two favorite tools on this one (a hammer and a drift) :p

and yes, i did my best on the net, and my google-fu appears to be lacking

any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks in advance!

Remove the caps screw, slide it straight forward off the stock tip. Then remove the screw that holds the forend to the hanger. Pull the front of the forend down and forward.

Mr. Double gun:
Thank you! one might think that would be included in an owners manual- but there is not one specific to the RSI, just the 'generic' one.
any way, that is what I needed to accomplish a simple chore and I appreciate you taking the time to reply.
Good shooting to you!
