Testing several loads and powders for my ruger #1 ( have read all the accuracy tips etc so not expecting a target rifle ) had got many groups with 2 touching and one out an inch or more , so I took my best load and gave it 15 minutes between shots and what did I get but .75 moa. . Tried 2 more groups of 4 with 30 minutes between groups and got two moa groups one 1.25 higher than the other . So I get two cold barrel shots right on and 3 -1.25 " higher with a 5 shot group 2 moa groups ( repeatable)

All I could ask for with a hunting gun , didn't think the heat would show so fast though

All of my #1's are the same way. Fortunately it's a hunting rifle so makes no difference.

Yes, I was pleased to find out it was heat instead of a stock or scope issue . And as long as it's repeatable it makes the perfect hunting rifle if I'm on my 3rd shot I probably like that extra inch that's built in ( if critters running away I mean )
