I have a Ruger # 1 in .22-250, the trigger isn't bad but I was wondering about adjustment. Any definate steps or procedures to take? Any special instructions?
Brownells has aftermarket adjustable triggers. Also, any decent gunsmith can tune the stock trigger to whatever you want the pull to be, but they'll have to stone the contact surfaces to reduce pull weight, so don't make it too light. 3# should do nicely for hunting.
If you need a target rifle trigger, definitely get an aftermarket adjustable trigger.
Thanks for the info guys. A gunsmith has done some work to mine as/an article I have in the September 2000 issue of Rifle, titled Shooting & Tuning the Ruger No. 1. Thanks again for the info.
