I'm looking at getting a .22mag and really like the thoughts of a semi, Ruger 10/22 being my #1 choice.

But I can't seem to find any place that sells these guns?!? I've seen a few for sale on the EE once in a while, Are these guns rare or something?

Other options? I wouldn't mind a 94/22mag but they aren't cheap.

Where could I find a 10/22 mag or convince me to get something different.

Do not want a bolt action .22mag, Thanks.

There's the Remington 597mag semi with different models available
It's not a Ruger , but I'm happy with mine

I picked up the CZ 512 22 mag semi and love it , one of my favorite guns , very accurate and never jams , also much more reasonably priced and easier to find then the 10/22 mag

Not to hijack the thread , but I saw one of those 512s and they are the ###iest looking 22s I've ever seen . I was wondering how they shoot . Thanks guys .....now I just have to go spend money :(

My CZ 512 is a very solid shooter rivaling the bolt guns for accuracy....

Most people complain only about the trigger but mine has broken in nicely..it was a little sproingy at first but now its quite crisp.

The Ruger 10/22M is a nice gun, IF you get one that works. I've had 2, one reliable and one accurate. Since there is no more factory support for them I dumped 'em. Last time I looked they were going for 600-800 U.S. dollars. I don't know what a Volquarson would go for, but I'd bet it would go bang every time and hit what it was aimed at.

If I didn't already have a Brno 611, I'd be looking at the 512 real hard.

Depends if it's a 10/22 magnum with a single extractor or a double extractor.
The magnums with single extractors are pulling in more money as they were less problematic and have become higher in demand.
On past GunBroker auctions they were averaging between $750 to $1100 depending on condition.

When I started looking for my 10/22 in 22 WMR, I also looked at the Remington 597, but the dealer told me that I should rather find a Ruger. I had already purchased a new 96 Lever and 22/77 Target in grey stainless and Lam stock from him and he felt that the unreliable Remington will be a frustration. Two years later I found a 10/22 Mag Ruger that had come int the shop a few hour before, and bought it. Very happy with ALL of my Ruger rifles. I have had a Rem. Model 7, a Sendero and a 799, and promised myself I shall never buy another Remington. Then last year I bought a new 30-30 Compact Marlin 336, and it would not feed any ammunition! Another Remington!!

Accuracy Plus had a used copy of the Ruger 10/22 in 22 WMR for $699 and new ones for $799 (if memory serves me correct) about a year ago. Contact them.

I believe the CZ rifles in 22 WMR are great. If you cannot get a Ruger, try the CZ.

My only problem with the Ruger 22 WMR rifles is with the magazines. Until the spring is tightened, they may be unreliable (all three my 22 WMR Ruger rifels use the same magazines= great!). I have also obtained 2x 25-shot Volquartsen mags (very expensive = about $125 each after tax and import duty), but these do not work!!!

The 10/22 and 96 also work well with CCI shotshells.
