Hey guys, just picked up my first 22lr so naturally I've got a newbie question for you.

I got the 10/22 50th anniversary Ruger which comes with a "ghost ring" rear sight. My issue is that mine seems loose, and I'm not sure if it's supposed to be like that for fast adjustment for windage, or if it's just messed up.

The gun came with one allan key, which is too small for the top hex nut, but seems to fit in the tiny hex nut slots on the side of the rear sight, which I assume are meant to adjust the position of the ghost ring left and right.

Do I just need to tighten a bolt, is this how it's supposed to be, or do I have a problem?

i have one of these, im just trying to gauge what 'mine seems loose' means.
like you can grab it and move it around?
or you shake it and something clanks?

either way mine dosnt move.... i dont think
ill go get mine and have a look at it.

Loose like I can wiggle it around with one finger, or possibly a strong breath.

Sounds like something is amiss on my gun if you haven't noticed this on yours. Did you receive more than one allen key with yours? I'm just wondering if I should head back to Le Baron tomorrow and get this sorted out. It was the floor model.

I only got one allan key with mine, from an unboxing I watched I believe they only come with the small one for the rear peepsight adjustments, nothing to tighten. See if you can find a fittin allan key to tighten down the sight perhaps?

I'm good. Got an allan key to tighten up the top bolt and everything is fine.

Hope this thread might help any future gun noob who runs into the same issue.
