Anybody have some flashy trigger upgrades and/or suggestions on flashy trigger upgrades for their 10/22 and SR22's they would like to share? Also, interested in upgraded mag releases.

Parts purchased from CGN Sponsors would sweeten things nicely.

Pics appreciated...

Well ... where to begin.

Kidd, VQ & Timney all make great trigger products that are complete and easy drop in installation. I'd put my money on a Timney which you can get from Mystic Precision. If your looking to save yourself some money, you can DYI and find some youtube videos on how to get the best out of the oem parts.

KIDD and Volquartsen are a bit harder to find but not entirely impossible and will give you a trigger that you will love, but you may mourn the death of your wallet.

TACSOL or TacInc both make nice mag releases that come under the trigger guard and operate with a single finger. You may as well upgrade to a auto bolt release while you have your trigger set up apart. I do believe the VQ models come with it. Or youtube is your friend again and you can do it yourself in a couple minutes.

Here's some pics of a pws t3 mag release that I am buying from questar. Bought it because it is compatible with the Promag clips

I've tried the Kidd, VQ and Timney and find that the Kidd single stage is the best. You cannot go wrong with any of them but I feel the Kidd is really worth the price.

Can't find anymore info out on this trigger though. I only new of the complete assembly that Timney offers for the 10/22. I picked up one of thier Skeletonized AR triggers and are very pleased with it. I may try this out on my little .22.

trigger pull is about 2.5lbs .. very nice trigger, I have one in my SR22. It was one of my first upgrades when I bought my rifle. Very easy to install.

Gump123 - very nice looking SR22! I like that mag release. Is that ur SR? The barrel is shortened?

Thanks for all the advice folks...

That's just a pic from someone else's post. My SR-22 is not complete yet. Just waiting on a few parts to arrive in the mail. I'll post some pics when its all done (hopefully later this week).

You should not be thinking about guns while you are down in the sun.!!!!

You Sir are talking heresy, one should always be thinking of guns.:D

We are going to a gun shop today I want to pick up another of those Champion resettable targets & anything else that looks interesting.

How's the weather at home? It is going to be about 80 here today, going for a walk on the beach & then trying a soup & salad restaurant for lunch.

Denise's idea. ovrec :confused::confused:

We have used triggers from Volquartsen, Rimfire Technologies, KIDD (single), and reworked Brimstone triggers... they are all nice, and a huge improvement over the factory trigger...

I will say this about Mag releases... if you are a hunter, stay away from the pull release style... I guarantee that you will loose mags walking through the bush with a pull release... we stopped carrying the mag in the gun... just one in the chamber with safety on, and pop in the mag when required... we had spent too much time retracing our steps looking for lost mags. The push style release is a better way to go in the woods... on the bench though the pull styles are great.
