After thousands and thousands of rounds thru the old Ruger she appears to be ready for a tune up.

Volquartsen bolt tune up kit is sorta what Im after but if theres an equivalent available in Canada Im good with that.
Anyone know where I can find one....in Canada?

Go to the Dlask website, it will likely run fine if you replace the extractor & recoil spring (guide rod spring).

Thanks....i was gonna just try those if i couldnt find the kit....but it appears they dont have everything either

Do yourself a favour and just buy a complete Dlask bolt. Keep all the old ruger parts for spare. The new bolt will be smoother and radiused on the heel for smoother operation as well as having an exact edge extractor and pinned firing pin which translates into more consistent ignition, hence lower SDs and improved accuracy. The firing pin and extractor are EDM wire cut parts of the highest quality and materials. For $129 plus tax and shipping its the best money youll ever spend!! Ive built lots and know what rerally improves accuracy. The action spring cant be changed without changing the bolt handle, its a fixed one piece unit. Dlask also has their charge handle with a Kidd polished action rod and three springs to match the ammo you shoot. Even if you rebuild the bolt its ,well, junk if you compare a quality replacement with all the things the way they should be. Its far cheaper as well as far superior compared to trying to fix something substandard to begin with. Cant make a silk purse out of a sows ear!!!

I took your advise and ordered the bolt and a few other things.
Might as well give the Ruger some love after 25 years of abuse

Replace enough bits and eventually your original 10/22 emerges zombie-like from the spare parts bin. Almost want to just buy a complete set of parts and not have to tear down the first one!

You can own a 10/22 that looks exactly like an original until you pull the ZOMBIE like spare parts trigger. Some look to improve whats already available. If your not one of them , that's fine. Some have higher prerequisites as too accuracy and obviously ur not one of them. I call people like you a donator. Thankfull for providing the prizes through your registration fee. Although with ur attitude highly doubt you have ever competed. Ever want to shoot an accurate gun go to a registered shoot without the attitude and all will be more than happy to allow you to try their gun. Me included. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. Dollar wise you are correct but building your own makes it yours.

As expected the rifle cycles so much better now....no misfires or failures to eject after a couple hundred rounds.
Little bling with a new charging handle....otherwise it looks as before.

My sarcasm was not directed at you bosrod. Happy to hear ur project turned out the way youd hoped just tired of negative comments by individuals that don't know whay theyre talking about. My bad I should be immune by now!
