Can anyone tell me if Ruger stopped making the international version (the stock runs the length of the barrel drawing flush with the muzzle) for the 10/22. I looked on the Ruger site and I did not see it.

Hi, and welcome. My book info says the Mannlicher style stock with swivels was discontinued in 1971. This would be the high price model.

Ruger has done several runs of the international over the years, from what I've seen. A recent? one was a Walmart (American) exclusive, stainless with laminate stock. I wanted an rsi for a long time, and found one last year. They are neat, but nothing special. Sold it when I realized I don't love the 10/22. My cz 452 full stock is better.

That being said, I do have two 10/22 rifles. One is now a thompson, and the other is an m1. I wouldn't mind making a garand clone with one. The only reason I haven't yet is that the other two are already neglected, not sure if I need to add another to the pile.

As said above, Ruger did more than one run of International stocked 10/22.
High request in US for this model made a US distributor to special-order this year
an exclusive run of these Internationals both in blue and in SS.

In US, depending where you buy it from, it can retail as high as $350,
which is EXTREMELY high for the US market.
If brought in Canada, it will probably retail about $600Cdn.

IMHO, a semiauto in a Manlicher stock looks weird.
In addition, the 10/22 is very sensitive regarding the fit between barrel/stock.
If you like that stock, consider a bolt CZ, Mauser, Steyr, etc.

In my neighbourhood, having a semi with that stock is considered
like having spinners on a Ford Pinto
(and a lot of people will question your ###ual preferences).

Geez, now I'm really glad I got rid of it. Mine was the stainless with walnut? stock, like the one pictured above. Nice enough rifle, but like you said, the stock belongs on a bolt gun. I've wondered about fitting it to a 77/22, but my cz is pretty nice, and the ruger bolts are crazy expensive.
