Hey guys,

The Wife and I are new to the Rifle world and we've bought our first rifle from a friend of mine. A Great Starter Rifle, Ruger 10/22 50th Anniversary Edition.

What I'm wondering is if any Dealers here would be interested in doing a Group Buy of OEM Ruger 10/22 Mags. We currently only have the Butler Creek one's and they constantly have Issues, I will eventually do the fixes to them but I really don't want to rely on them.

Seeing as how were Limited to 10rd Mags now, I figured there's probably lots of people that could use some mags.

Seeing if we can do a Buy for them and maybe even throw a group buy for those Tri-Mag clips to clip them all together. Maybe even Speedloaders.

I figured this would be the best place to start with this.

Thanks
Matt

I know that but If I'm Buying like 12 of them it would be nice to have some sort of deal. Try to make the money go farther, considering were outfitting ourselves for a new Hobby!

Also, Id personally rather keep the money with a small or smaller business instead of a giant retailer like Cabela's or Crappy Tire

Most individuals have still have 25 shot mags. Depending on where they shoot it may get used or left at home. Only a fool would give his up or pin it to 10. The only ones getting the shaft are new individuals to the sport. Also mags don't cost enough to make it worth while to do a group buy.

FYI, how can there be any savings other than to you with redirecting with freight charges?
They won't fit in an envelope, so bare bones $12 at least worth of freight.

And doesn't this circumvent CGN rules?

I didn't say anything about myself initiating a group buy so nice try in trying to point a finger and trying to make me look like a profiteer.

You're in Okotoks? Drive up to Bass Pro and get some 3-pack BX-1 10-rd Ruger mags. $59.99 a pop = $20/mag. Doesn't get better than that.

Online the cheapest I've seen recently is Durham Outdoors: https://durhamoutdoors.ca/products/ruger-10-22-magazines-c-22-lr-10-rounds-3-pack (they also do a price match).

This is good to know, Searching for this hasn't been the easiest and like mentioned I usually try my best to buy from smaller niche shops, mainly due to the better customer service that comes along with it.

Being new to this whole seen, the amount of info can sometimes be overwhelming so this thread was started as a generic question and to see if it would be feasible. If it isn't the oh well.

Ive also been treated pretty poorly by a certain rifle associate at Bass Pro so that was another reason to avoid it.

Thanks Bigfooter!

X2

OP, take a drive up to bass pro and buy the 3-pack. It doesn’t get any cheaper than that.
If your still not too heavily invested in the 10/22 platform and still want a rifle that has 25 round magazines, have a look at my ad in the EE for a savage A22. Then drive too the shooting edge and buy a few butler creek 25 round mags for $32each and shoot with no magazine restrictions like the 10/22.

You can also pick up the Tri-Mag Alangator adapters there for $15.99 to hold 30 rounds. Cheapest price anywhere north of the border.

Canadian tire stores are privately owned and employ local people.
