Ruger 10/22 Question Pictures Are UP

I have a Ruger 10/22 which has been custom upgraded with a heavy barrel, glass bedded, and trigger stop.

I have a question about something else about the trigger group.

In the back of the trigger assembly there are two small screws in the extreme rear of the assembly.

There are located on each side, dos anyone know what they are for?

Post pictures, but it sounds like an aftermarket trigger system, or a custom mod to add take up and sear adjusting screws, to reduce the travel of the trigger to the front when resetting the trigger.

Take the trigger assembly off the action and see if you can see it better. If it was in the center I could see for sear take up or something, but off to the side is weird.

Maybe a tensioner to keep the pins from backing out.
 
I tried to take the gun out of the stock but whoever did the bedding neglected to put the release agent on the receiver.
It won't budge.
However the cheek rest as ugly as it looks but is useful, is easily removed.

To lock the buffer pin in place is about the only reason I could see anyone doing that location. Not such a problem if you put a nylon or urethane buffer in, but I recall having taped mine in with black tape at one point, as it fell a tad too freely, and was a general PITA to re-assemble, while it was at any other position besides fully upright.

That's my best guess too. A strip of the action from the stock will sort that out in a jiffy.

I think I will have to get some woodpeckers to get it out of the stock, as the bedding seems to be permanent.
Got any ideas as to what will release the bedding compound from the receiver?
 
As I recall with Ruger 10/22, I think you have to put the safety in the exact middle to allow the trigger group to come out of the stock- tried that?

It does sound like it's glued in with bedding compound though.

OH its glued in all right. I will figure it out in time but its working better than an Anschutz 64 I just traded off.
At 25 yds it will just put 10 rounds in a ragged hole, with cheap ammo.
