Ruger 10/22: Rear sight dovetail optic mount?

My googling may be sub par - I can't find an optic mount adapter that fits to the rear sight dovetail on a Ruger 10/22. Does such a thing exist?

I'd like an option for mounting a small red dot in that location.

Thanks folks - Yes, it's odd that there aren't more widely available options. I've seen this type of product available for other platforms. Maybe there's something special about the 10/22 that makes it a no-go. Too many different barrel profiles maybe?

i think it's probably because the 10/22 receiver is drilled and tapped already and there's about a million optic mounting solutions already out there that will be way easier to install than somee wierd barrel mounted thing.

the only reason to mount to the barrel would be fore the takedown IMO, and for that the magpul solution already exists and is very good.

TD version, absolutely. The rail on top of the receiver is fine for most, but I just want the lowest mounting position possible.

Well the 10/22 receiver is basically right at the barrel anyways so you're not really gonna get any lower. grab one of these maybe instead and get a little micro rds
