Ruger 10/22 sight blade

Mine came out just as you described. Try to soak it in LPS or WD40 type stuff and try again. Also if you can get a second set of hands hold the sight block on a piece of something solid then try tapping it out. Good luck

Have you tried tapping from the other side? Some dovetails are set-up (intentionally or not) so that you can only get it in & out from one side...

Yeah, I was tapping left to right like it was shown in the instructions for my tech sights. I stopped for a while and then gave it a few taps from the other side and it came out pretty after i switched back to the left side. I did put a bit of oil and that seemed to help as well.

The sights are installed and looking good all that's left is some loctite which i'll pick up tomorrow afternoon.

I think I'm hooked now. I'm thinking of other upgrades I can get in the future for my 10/22 :p A synthetic stock should do nicely. Maybe a new paintjob. Do they make heavy barrels with dovetails? :p

Hmm, it seems I've run into my trouble this time with some aftermarket magazines. I've got a Butler Creek 25rnd magazine that doesn't feed the last 3 rounds properly. It seems that the follower gets caught somewhere within the magazine body on the homestretch. Any ideas?
