I have the same one it's a great rifle. Love the longer barrel.I wouldn't use that locking sysrem, my brother in law used it and it scratched the nice wood stock pretty good.

I bought a first year Cooey 64 from a friend and it still has the plastic magazine which I don't won't to break. This one came up on sale and I wanted a Ruger so I bought it.

I put a piece of cloth between the lock and the wood to protect it.
