I've used the search but nothing came up. Looking for info/comments on the two rimfire rifles.

Thank for your input in advance.

I like have been loving my Take down, fun adding the 25 round magazine. No problems, shoots great with Irons (pin in the rear iron has been slipping out), I put on a scope and its good, cheap, pew pew fun!

I have the Marlin 70 PSS. Can't compare but I really like the Marlin. I only have the regular mags, but I saw on this forum that higher capacity mags are available.

I dislike the marlin micro groove rifling with extreme prejudice. Once the barrel gets dirty (which is almost instantaneously with most bulk ammo) the barrel turns into a smooth bore and fails to stabilize bullets adequately. 50yd+ shots become all but impossible. The actions themselves are also not the best design.

I'm not a take down kind of guy but I would definitely choose a Rugger 10/22 over a marlin M70

If however you want to shoot a fair amount of 22 shot shells( not sure why anyone would) than the marlin is your gun.
