Ruger 10/22 Upgrading

I have for too long been working on my Carbine.

My reluctance is very simple. All of the pins in the action fall out on their own as they are avery loose fit.

Thinking about it, I am wondering is the application of a 'sticky' cast bullet lube to the pins would keep them from falling out, yet not react with the steel pins and aluminium action.

In the past, I have needed to use electricians black vinyl tape on each side to hold pins in place while I concentrated on one or two areas.

Not sure I understand the problem. The pins are held in place while the action is in a stock.

Just purchase some over sized pins.
You'll never have that problem again.

I actually appreciate how easy the pins come out. Beats having to use a punch and hammer on all those plastic parts.

Agreed. Better than working on my girlfriend. Actually, if I could do both at once, I would be one happy camper!

Agreed. But...

It is when I lift the action out of the stock. If I tip the works on the side, pins drop out that I need to remain in place as I work on the area of interest.

You can try dlask arms dot com, his pins may work better. Or you can order the ones that fabsports sells, but you have to drill countersinks into your receiver in order for them to fit properly.
