Or is it 10/22?
No matter.
Looking at one today, used. Came with a wood stock with the forward
barrel band and upgraded to a synthetic without the band and a slight
schnabel.
Stainless with a decent set of rings, matching silver.
Comes with original wood stock.
Great shape.
Any idea of $$ for it?
This one doesn't need pictures, great + condition.
Fifty rounds "if" down the pipe.
Forgive me lack of Ruger semi smarts.
After watching that video of the am er ee kan and his mod's,
well he made me lick my chops.
Need a f$gure to toss at this chap.
Cheers.

you can buy a brand new 10/22 for 300 (stainless version 250 for blued), and a upgrade to a hogue stock for another 100 without the band, so $400 with both stocks. Used? i'd say if it was a hogue stock and stainless your looking at $300 dollar mark in mint condition ( its still used no matter what), if your talking the on the EE your looking at $400 lol

Is it the shiny stainless or grey stainless?
Metal or composite trigger group?
Rings but no scope?
What is a "schnabel"?

A Schnabel type stock has a flared knob at the end of the forestock... where it angles down and away from the barrel... you would probably recognize the design when you saw it... it is quite common... A used stainless 10/22 (not 10-22) should be in the neighborhood of $350-400... depending on what aftermarket synthetic stock is on it... there is a big difference in quality and price for different synthetic stocks... the extra original stock doesn't add much to the value of the package.

I knew it.
The finish was fairly bright.
The after market stock didn't have the barrel band
To me looked a lot nicer.
The stock was upgraded for longer length of pull.
The rings were the higher end sort and I believe
they were clamped to a rail thing a ma jiggy jig.
As far as the trigger group goes, no idea.
He didn't mention any mods there.
Eye'm dumb as a post on these little beasts.
Maybe I should up and buy it and git learned a bit.
That's it, that's all.
Thanks for the info.
So 3ish?

I know exactly what you mean Hoytcanon.
A lot of the CZ's have stocks like that.
Never knew they were called Schnabel?.....thanks!
I thought Kamlooky was refereing to a thing-a-majig-what-you-call-it. :D

Tell him to keep the wood stock and start at $250ish ;)

But modifying the wood stocks is half the fun.

For purposes of efficiency newfoundlanders have used the word chummy. It replaces the lengthy expressions of whatchamacallit, thing a ma jiggy as well as doo hicky. I'd start at 250 and would't go higher than 300.
