Ruger 22/45 and Mark III?

I was wondering if the Ruger rimfire pistol owners here could help me out with a few questions regarding the Ruger 22/45 and the Ruger Mark III and their new and fantastic 'safety mechanisms'!

1. The internal lock - From what I have read this internal safety can only be activated when the manual safety has been engaged, and it merely locks the manual safety in the "safe" position. Is this correct?

2. Is the internal safety in contact with any other mechanisms in the gun? Or is it a seperate isolated mechanism from everything else which contacts ONLY the safety?

3. Has anyone disabled the stupid magazine disconnect on these guns? I have read about people just replacing the hammer bushing with one from a Mark II, but I cannot find anyone who sells this part anymore.

4. Inserting spent cases to use as snap caps. I know that most centrefire pistol actions are not supposed to be shut on a chambered round since it is very bad for the extractor. Is this also true with these Ruger rimfire pistols?

Thanks!

I have this Mark III 2245, it doesn't need a snap cap to dry fire as long as the mag is inserted. Don't know much about the internal lock things. For more informations, you can visit rimfirecentral.com and rugerforum.com
