Can the barrel be taken off a Ruger 22 auto pistol and replaced with a new one??

Yes. If you are refering to the MKI, MKII, or MKIII, expect to pay as the reciever portion is slightly complicated to turn and machine as a one off for your local gunsmith.

If you are refering to the Charger, any 10/22 barrel will work.

Yes, the barrels have to be fitted to the gun, a gunsmith job, yup.
