ruger #3 sights 45-70

I have a rebarreled mauser with a #3 ruger barel in 45-70. I have 2 empty dovetails and am looking to fill them with sights!

This is a budget project right now so I am hoping to avoid the New England Arms solution.

Any one have any insight into appropriate ruger #3 sights factory options to look for in parts houses or after market sights.

I have a #3 in .45-70 and found that the original front sight was too high to hit point of aim at 100yds within the adjustment range of the rear sight (this is with stout handloads). I noticed that my 10/22 had sight darn near identical except it was lower - so I swapped it and it was cured. The rear sight on the #3 is also identical to that on a 10/22.

Hey that is great to know! I am sure it will be easier to find 10/22 sights.
