Brass isn't available in Canada as of yet, and most dealers won't ship it to canada, so you need a connection. Once fired brass is on eBay, but I don't think it's legal to import as of yet.

Wholesale lists rifles, and they ay or may not have one...;)

Why would it not be legal to import once fired brass??

Check the 1000 posts about importing stuff here on CGN. Apparently brass is one of those things that terrorists use so the US State Dept makes it difficult to just import, and stores dont' want to take a chance.

Individuals may not care as much.:)

Do I detect a slight effection for 375 ruger?

THE MIGHTY 375 RUGER

Availability issues already.

The .375 Ruger must have set a record for going obsolete the fastest of any cartridge :p

Yup, I love it...Although if somone *was* to offer me 3.5 X what I paid for the rifle, I'd sell...:)

375 Ruger (especially in the Ruger Hawkeye rifles) is an excellent cartridge. It offers H&H + performance, even in a 20 " barrel, in a standard Ruger action- . The Alaskan is compact and fast handling, and a pleasure to shoot.

After carefully considering all the 375 options including H&H, Weatherby, RUM, AI, 375-338, the 375 Ruger clearly stood out as the cartridge that offered exactly what I wanted.:)

When I got my African I jumped thru the hoops and permit bs. Wasn't all that bad. The outfit that shipped me the rifle put 100 cases in the box. It is a real nice rifle with cut checkering and good wood/metal fit. The only negative is the stainless bolt. I think it looks stupid in a blued action, and no barrel band swivel. I haven't shot it much but it handles good and the trigger is better than most rugers. My grandson (12) shot I round of 270 gr. and thinks he should take it moose hunting. Nice rifle for the $. Mark
