Really considering purchasing one and then eventually maybe a .22 hornet or .17 hornet as a companion rifle that my young son can step into when its his turn to shoot at 'stuff'. Looking for a quality bolt rimfire and i like everything about this rifle, just have reservations due to the centrefire 77's accuracy reputation. Fit and finish and accuracy will be the 2 most important aspects. Fill me in with whatever you can. Thanks.

I have one in .22Mag, the stainless/laminate version. Great shooter, one of the two most accurate .22Mags I've owned out of about a dozen assorted models. If I had to find fault, I would say that the thickness of the gun in the receiver area (due to the rotary magazine) detracts from handling qualities a wee bit, but overall I am very satisfied.
