Ruger 77

Just bought a used Ruger 77Hawkeye in 7mm-08 with 2 different ring sizes a #4 $#5 it looks right..... Called Ruger to be sure one said no then called Kohr group who were vague... I really don't want to bend a scope tube....any ideas??

#5 if on the rear and #4 on front is correct.

Correct, If you'd like to mount your scope lower, then you buy a #3 for the front and use your #4 at the rear

I believe all Rugers use different size rings on front and rear except the MIni's

Low # on front, higher number on back, always 1 number apart, don't use 3 on front and 5 on back

Ruger #1 and #3 use the same height rings, 77/22 and the centerfire 22 hornet 357 mag 44 mag use the same height rings as well as the scopeable handguns

Not all centerfire Rugers use Ruger rings.

The old flat tops don't use Ruger rings, the M77, M77 Mark II and M77 Hawkeye rifles have a two height bridge.

Man I had one of those ones that uses Remington 700 bases...it was a 7x57. Sold it cause I'm an idjit.
