I'm looking to buy a .17 HMR rifle and am considering the 96/17. Does anyone have one, any issues with theirs? Does anyone even own one? Tell me about these guns.
I bought a Henry .17 Varmint Express Lever 3 weeks ago, the damn thing jams and jams. Feeding issues down low in the tube and even when they make it thru they don't make it in the chamber at times. Loved the look and feel of this gun, price was right, Henry customer service is good but the gun I got is garbage.
Brought it back to the gun shop and am waiting for refund....
I'm shopping for preferably a lever (just want a fun gun and don't own any levers) but am also considering the Ruger M77/17 bolt...
Please let me know if you have experience with either of these Rugers and if you have had any problems. LeBaron's has them both at good prices.
