Ruger 96/22 Mag

i recently purchased a 96/22LR. it kind of rough shape, but i like it. not a conventional lever gun, but it works well.

the two best attributes to the 96 are the short lever throw (54 degrees) and the detachable magazine.

most people are turned off because they aren't a marlin or a winchester. to each their own.
