I bought a Ruger 96/22 in .22 LR for my grand-daughter and am more than pleased with its performance, I realize that it is not the .22 magnum that you queried about, but the mechanics of the firearm are the same. Addition of William's Firesights made for a pleasing change and the rifle now has a 4X scope mounted. It will give ragged one hole groups at 25 yards with just about any ammunition. The trigger could use some smartening up as everything directly from the factory is in need of improvement. The principal reason for this choice was the rotary magazine which is so much nicer than feeding rounds into a tube. I am surprised that there are not more of these seen around, I'm certain that you will enjoy yours.
