Ruger 96/44 Mag Lever action

Just picked one up on a whim. Handy little carbine. Came with an older Millet red dot, scope bases and two mags. It has hunting marks on the stock but functions flowlessly and the metal and the bore are good. I'd say it's in good to very good condition overall. I haven't shot it yet and just hoping I didn't pay too much in case I don't like it and will have to sell. How much do these normally go for?

Very fast, and a good short range deer rifle. My wife has used one for years. Accuracy, at least with hers is nothing to write home about. 4" @ 100yds is average for hers. Very effective deer rifle.

I paid $400 for mine a few years ago. Very slick action, and more accurate than I expected it to be.
