Anyone have the experience of firing one of these little levers? I seem to be scorching the bullet under the chamber (in the magazine) every shot. I'll eject it and see the black burnt powder stain right from the lead down to the base from the previous bullet firing. Is this normal?? I also get a 12 inch muzzle flash EVERY SHOT from Rem. 44 mag loads (180 gr). I'll try another load and see if it appears. Also....one last point....has anyone heard of bedding this rifle. I'm not sure with the barrel band if it's easy or difficult. Cheers

My wife has one of these rifles. Not terribly accurate 4" is best we've managed so far.
If you chamber an empty case, and pull the mag, looking up from the bottom, you will see why you are getting stains on the next round.
The case is not supported very well, and is quite visible.
Having said that, the rifle seems to handle fairly hot loads with ease.
The barrel is supported by a pressure point. I just removed it on her rifle, and got the magazine band free of causing barrel tension too.
We hope to fire it again soon, to guage the results.

Yes...I agree that the case is not supported. I have a 'black trail' pointing away from the rim of the chamber. I also was considering removing the band, and installing a two pillar bed system. A local gunsmith thought I was not going to see any difference, so I'm still debating. I am also going to be reloading some hot loads next month and am looking for some power to throw those heavy leads. Sounds like fun!!!
