Ruger 96 in 22mag hows the accuracy

Was thinking of picking up a 96 in 22 mag

Any one give me feed back re how its accuracy is?

I had one for a while several years ago. I can't remeber the ammo I used but it was accurate enough for grouse, and the guy I sold it to still uses it for gophers. What kind of accuracy are you looking to get?

Accuracy okay with my old one. but the trigger sucked.

96 ruger

It would be nice to have one shot holes but I don't think the 96 lever will do that. I just like the feel of the 96 have one in 44 mag that I will be testing out soon.

I have a Squires Bingham model 1500 bolt in 22 mag that I need to test out first and if its shoots good will stick with it but have this thing for levers
Guess a guy should have one of each

Can't speak for the Lever Ruger, but I have a 77/22Mag, and it is very accurate. Regards, Eagleye

I picked up a new 96 in .22mag. last summer. I have used mostly winchester ammo and I get 1 to 1-1/2 inch groups at 100 yds. I haven't got alot of access to different ammo but for a carbine type rifle I certainly ain't #####in' on accuracy. I am using a strait 4X scope and I am happy with it.I ordered mine through SIR and it took 6 months to get it. I have heard the strait .22's are all but impossible to get. Sir isn't even listing them...
