Anyone know of aftermarket up-grade components for this rifle? Stocks etc?

There isn't much available for the 96 series. About all you can buy is a new barrel. I can't seem to find anyone local to do the trigger for me either. I bought a 10/22 magnum stock for my 96 in lr and with a little coaxing, cutting the bottom off the grip, and a little inletting, it now fits and looks great. I'm not sure if you could do the same with the magnum version, but it might be worth looking into. I bought a stock from VQ in the US for 50 bucks. When I get it closer to finished, I will post some pics of it. Later.

96 22lr
I'd like to see pics of how your 96 in 22lr came out. Having a 96 22lr it would be nice to up grade the stock too. Mine had been tweeked a bit before I got it the pistol grip was reshaped and a winchester steel butt plate put on it, refinished. Looks pretty good.
