There is a guy on this forum who calls himself "Camp Cook".
He basically made a Canadian Alaskan.
He bought a Ruger Super Redhawk .454 Casull with a long barrel. Then he had it shortened to 4.2 inches and re-registered at that length.
The finished product looked really good. But I imagine the total price was pretty steep.
having a side arm and a rifle chambered in the same cartridge!
Unfortunately very few of us can actually have the arm at our side where it belongs. Most of us have a "sit on top of the bench because it is oh so dangerous and way too evil" arm.![]()
i personally would like to get one in 44 magnum in the future
If it's only a .44 Magnum you want (not a .454 Casull) then you are in luck.
Ruger is already making a 4.2 inch Redhawk in .44 Magnum.
They are just starting to show up at Canadian dealers right now.
