Ruger "all weather" finish

Ruger 10/22 all weather finish. Doesn't look to be stainless, just painted I guess.

How would I go about bringing the finish back on the reciever? Is there anything to do short of stripping the whole thing and repainting?

I stripped mine a while back and I love it. I have just left it bare with no ill effect to date.

Receiver is painted aluminum, polish her up.
