Ruger American 22 Mag

Guys I have a question. Are the 22 WMR any good. I.e Are they accurate. I have read bunches of reviews and all were positive BUT I bought a Ruger American in a 7/08 based on positive reviews. Accuracy in the centerfire is lackluster at best. Love everything else about the rifle. I would like to own one in a 22 wmr but am reluctant to buy one based on the 7/08 mediocre performance. I really would like to hear from people who actually own one. Thanks

i dont have the 22Mag but i do have it in just plain old 22 and i love mine.
havnt had one problem with it.

I have purchased the Ruger American in .22wmr with the short barrel, and in .22lr and .17hmr. I also have the same Caliber 77/22's from Ruger (Except the 17hmr) and I can tell you for the price they are decent shooting rifles. The 77/22's have better triggers and the wood stocks are nicer to look at than the synthetics but for a $315 dollar rifle, its a heck of a deal.
