Ruger American Predator

never tried the RAP, but they have great accuracy reviews in 6.5 creedmoor on youtube. biggest complaint seems to be crappy factory stock. the rem 783 comes in a little less money up front but still has a crappy factory stock. I own two 783's and have swapped the stocks for an mdt lss gen 2 and a Oryx (also made by mdt). haven't got to the range yet with the oryx installed but hope to soon.

Thanks for the input. I think the cheap factory stocks are the main complaint on all of the budget rifles. I prefer the safety placement on the Ruger, just wanted to see if anyone has had any experience with them.

I have a Ruger American predator. The magpul Hunter stock was a great upgrade. I had built mine as a spare PRS rifle. Unfortunately, the short barrel wasnt giving me the velocities I wanted. one small downsidethough, you need to rotate the bolt upside down to remove it from the rifle as the cheek riser gets in the way. Otherwise it was a worth it upgrade.
