I was looking at their website since the release of this new chassis and I was wondering the same!
I felt it was weird not seeing an option for the Ruger American line up since it seems like one of the most popular bolt action around!!!

LSS XL Gen 3 design most likely won’t allow for it to work. Nothing personal I take it. The way Ruger’s safety mechanism extends past the tang of the receiver is why I figure. Would completely take away from its ability to accept different rear end options and force a Carbine interface. Seems like a lot of work for a small segment of folks.
Did the Ruger American Ranch AR version of the LSS XL version get killed off permanently?

While the AICS version is fine if you have the 5.56, I've not had any luck getting 7.62x39 to run reliably out of any AICS compatible MDT magazines, and no one else seems to be making an AICS magazine for 7.62x39. I attempted to make both a 5.56 and a 6.5 Grendel MDT AICS work as they were the closest dimensionally to the 7.62x39, but sadly no bueno. Rounds dive if more than three are in the magazine.
Gotta be nearly as many 7.62x39 Ruger American Ranches out there as the 5.56 version. Run basically perfectly from STANAG magazines.

I ordered a LSS-XL GEN2 Ruger American AR chassis during their Black Friday Sale. Was a great deal. Still waiting for it. I think they are catching up on inventory & orders. I see they recently just started listing the Ruger American Short Action version, so hopefully they will have some of the AR version in stock soon.

I saw it online but it never let me add it to cart, asked them about it the next day and that's when I found out they didn't have any in SA AR LSS-XL gen2s in the Canadian warehouse during the black Friday sale.
Are you sure it was ordered from their Canadian site and not the US?
Hopefully it was the Canadian site, since they don't transfer stock between warehouses. If it was purchased on the US site, it would be a direct ship and might have customs duty charged on it.

Popular yes, since its a very good entry level budget rifle, not many people buying budget rifles will justify spending the cost of the rifle on a chassis though. That market is very small
I went through the same thing during the Black Friday sale. It showed as an option, but then showed out of stock when I added it to my cart. I tried the next day and was able to add it. It's the Canadian website, and they have already shipped the buttstock I ordered to go along with the chassis. Hope I get it eventually
I went down the rabbit hole with my Ruger American gen I. I got a bunch of them for our range and decided to buy one for myself. We burned out the barrel on one in our lineup so I had the bright idea that I'd buy an IBI barrel and swap my barrel onto the one in our lineup. Chose a medium profile barrel from Ryan and found it won't free-float in the stock chassis. Never did like that plastic chassis, as it's got quite a bit of flex to it. Waited for the MDT Black Friday sale, and here we are
