ruger american rifle 270 replacement stock

Have been looking around for a replacement stock for my rife...current one does not have enough weight and I'm thinking a heavier stock might tame down some of the bite this rife has. Anyone had any luck with this mod?? If so where did you track down your replacement stock from>!>!
