Ruger American rimfire & Bushnell Banner 1-4x32 scope

hey all,

i just got home from buying a ruger american rimfire (.22LR) and a bushnell banner 1-4x32 scope. i also bought a pair of leupold .22 rimfire ringmounts but they seem to be too short because rear iron sight gets in the way so i cannot mount my scope. what mounts should i be using or what am i doing wrong?

to the mods, i wasnt sure if i should be posting this in the rimfire subforum or the optics subforum so please move this thread if needed.

i just searched ebay and found a listing for EGW Ruger American Rimfire 0 MOA Picatinny Scope Mount. is that what you're talking about?

I bought a RAR rimfire last month, I had to remove the rear sight to mount a scope.

I ordered this EGW rail last week http://www.ebay.ca/itm/351245543254?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

hopefully I will be able to set the scope back a bit more to get a better eye relief. and I have feeding issue with hollow point ammo. Seems to feed the round nose better.

i think i got it mounted properly now. there is maybe 1mm of clearance between the rear sight and the scope.

Sometimes things have a way of working out.
Not a lot of clearance up front, but 'nuff to maker werk.
