Ruger bbl to Win mod 70 reciever

I'ts me again.......is this possible to put a Ruger barrel onto a Win mod 70 LA reciever......just having more thoughts is all....or is it not even worth it...barrel is a stainless 300 win mag and the Win mod 70 is 30.06....thanks again

thread is the same at 1" x 16 tpi..it can be done. Will need the thread length altered (maybe) and headspaced. Your bolt face will need to be opened up.

Thanks Rembo...I forgot about the boltface...saw a barrel in EE forum,I figured it would may be relativley simple swap,but didn't know what all was involved...may as well just buy a 300 i guess eh for all intent and purposes....LOL...

Still deciding on what the plan is,the rifle was to be sent,but I don't know yet if it actully has been or not yet......

I thought you had a 300 Wtby?....'06's are best rebarreled to 35 Whelen anyway ..no changes to the action at all...screw in a tube and enjoy 225's at 2700....and 250's at 2550 or more....
