Ruger bearcat .22 vs .22 WMR

Question ???
Going through a spares lot I picked up and found a bag of parts for Ruger Bearcat. Included was a cylinder, how can you tell if this cylinder is for a 22 WMR or just the regular .22lr?
Any help would be appreciated, thanks

Try a Cartridge in it the 22 Mag is Bigger diameter ! RJ

Well that makes sense, not sure why but I just thought they were longer.

funny, i have 3 revolvers with 22 mag cylinders and ive never used them and i as well just assumed they where longer.
had no idea they had a different diameter!
